I researched for months prior to buying an outdoor wood boiler. During one of my searches I found a video on Youtube from Heat Smart Plus. I called the store and found the sales staff to be much more knowledgeable than any other company I spoke with. Living in Central Illinois and dealing with a company from Canada was much easier than I expected. When I finally made my decision to purchase a Portage and Main Boiler, I had to go with Heat Smart Plus. They guided me through the entire process and made sure I understood everything prior to the purchase. Once my new boiler was delivered I was pretty much informed about the installation. However, anytime I had a question I made a simple call and spoke with true experts. I had no issues whatsoever conducting business with them even though we were this far apart. The salesperson not only had expert knowledge on the product, but he was able to tell me a lot of tricks and offer advice on making the installation go easier. I found out he not only sold the boiler, but had one for his personal use. He gave me numerous options and told me how he did it himself. After getting my boiler going I made several phone calls to the company. Each time they pulled up my account and knew exactly what I was talking about and helped me out.I am very pleased with my boiler and talking to the staff at Heat Smart Plus is what eventually sold me. I would highly recommend purchasing a wood boiler from them and will continue to talk to them for all my needs.
Very satisfied owner of an Ultimizer BL 3444 shaker. First off Brian Martin and the team at Heat Smart Plus are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have never had the pleasure of doing business with better people. Brians willingness to go the extra mile is second to none. Our search for a bigger outdoor furnace began with the decision to build a second home with garage and large workshop on our existing property. We had heated our 1700 sq ft home and attached garage with another brand of furnace without many issues but it was not large enough to handle the second home and shop so the idea was to buy their larger unit. Upon investigation the idea of doubling our wood consumption was not what I was hoping for. We started looking and comparing and found what I believe is the best unit on the market. We are heating 5884 sq ft plus two domestic hot waters with no problem whatsoever. 4184 sq ft under floor radiant, 1700 sq ft water to air exchanger and two water to water plate exchangers for all our hot water needs. Went from a 6000$/yr in Propane to 60$, add up about 700$ of wood, i still saved over 5k$ on the first year, and we kept the house a lot warmer compared to propane heating. Brian been exceptional , sold me a BL4044 remotely as I am in Ontario, helped me out with the initial install and this is the best thing we ever bought, I couldn't thank him enough him and his team. Everything was smooth and the boiler showed up on time with everything required to do the Install, I had to get extra stuff afterward and they staff has always been more than helpful.
